House Hunting For Success

You start off excited. The listings are fresh, your Pinterest board is poppin’, and you’ve got your dream home checklist in hand. But by house #6? You can’t remember if the one with the cute kitchen was the same one with the weird basement… or was that the place with the green door?

Welcome to house hunting brain — a very real phenomenon where every home starts blending into one beige, open-concept blur.

Here’s why it happens: when you tour multiple homes in a short time, your brain starts prioritizing big-picture features and filtering out the small stuff. Your mental checklist gets overloaded — and unless something really stands out (like neon walls or a walk-in wine cellar), your brain hits copy-paste.

So how do you fight it?

Take notes. After each showing, jot down a few quick thoughts — not just features, but how it felt.

Snap pics. Your camera roll can be your best friend when your memory fails you.

Rate each one. Give it a 1–10 based on your must-haves. Be honest.

Don’t overdo it. Try to limit the number of homes you see in one day. Decision fatigue is real.

And if all else fails, lean on your agent (that’s us!) to help you sort it out. We’re here to keep you grounded, focused, and maybe even entertained through the chaos.
